Tweet without
internet.
OffX is the first X bridge that posts your tweets over SMS. Stay heard when your platform gets blocked, when data dies, when the network fails, when every app is down except the one that was here first — text.

Helicopters overhead in Mashhad. Reporting for my followers before this battery dies. Via @OffX
A bridge for every voice the network tries to drop.
Six things we refuse to compromise on.
Works without data
Plain GSM over your carrier's SMS channel. No Wi-Fi, no 4G, no VPN, no roaming. If a text message can leave your phone, your tweet lands.
60-second setup
OAuth with X, verify your phone number with a one-time code, save our number in your contacts. You never install an app.
Platform-proof
If X is blocked where you are, your SMS still tweets. You can be offline, underground, rural, or in a blackout — the post goes through.
Non-profit & self-funded
We run on dev fees from the $OFFX token, not on your data. No ads, no tracking, no resale. Treasury is on-chain and public.
Transparent attribution
Every SMS-posted tweet ends with `Via @OffX` so your followers know how it reached them. No ghostwriting, no disguise.
Open source
Full codebase on GitHub. Audit the webhook, the rate limits, the token handling. If you don't trust us, read us.
Four steps. One SMS away.
Set it up once, use it forever. No app to keep updated, no account to re-login.
- 01
Connect X
OAuth 2.0 with X (Twitter) so OffX can post on your behalf. We only get tweet-write access — never your DMs, never your password.
- 02
Verify your phone
We send a 6-digit code via Twilio. Enter it once, it ties your phone number to your X handle on our end.
- 03
Save our number
Add `+1 (978) 310-3688` to your contacts as `OffX`. That's the number you text when you want to tweet offline.
- 04
Text to tweet
Send an SMS with your message. Within seconds it's a tweet on your account, signed `Via @OffX`. We reply with the tweet link.
Five places where SMS has to carry the voice.
Not a wishlist — a shortlist. These are the networks where X is blocked, the cell towers get throttled, and people still need to be heard. Everyone else gets the same bridge for free.

Sanctions limit local numbers
Local SMS gateways cost money and some countries are off-limits to Western carriers. Until the $OFFX treasury funds per-country numbers, everyone routes through our US long code — which works from any network that allows outbound international SMS.
“In 2025, the internet was turned off 313 times. Silence is a weapon. We’re building the switch that can’t be flipped.”
Twitter started on SMS — the 40404 shortcode, 140 characters, one message at a time. Then it climbed into the cloud and forgot where it came from. Meanwhile governments learned that the easiest way to end a protest is to turn off the pipes.
OffX is not a startup. It’s a bridge back to the phone. If X is blocked where you live, if the tower is jammed, if you’re underground, if you simply can’t afford data — your voice shouldn’t wait for an ISP to agree with your government.
Building in public.
Transparent phases, transparent funding. Every milestone is a PR you can read.
